Primary and Secondary Schools Should Use LED Intelligent Lighting

At present, most of our primary and middle school classrooms are illuminated by using fluorescent lamps as light sources, or directly using "lamp holder (including electrical components) + bare tube", or "lamps (grille disks / blackboard lamps) + fluorescent lamp light source", to realize basic lighting and blackboard lighting in the classroom.

Most of these lighting problems exist in the following aspects:

1) desk illuminance is generally inadequate. According to the survey results of 99 school buildings in six regions of China, the measured illuminance of the classroom is mostly between 200lx and 300lx, with the average illumination of 232lx, and the actual illumination and the design illumination are low.

2) the uniformity of the blackboard lighting is poor. The use of fluorescent lamps (or reflectors) is used as a blackboard lamp, which makes the upper part of the blackboard too bright, so that students can easily distinguish the white chalk words on the top of the blackboard, but the lower part is too dark and the illuminance is insufficient, and the students can't see the writing content clearly.

3) glare is obviously irritating to the eyes. The ordinary lighting of the classroom is illuminated with lamp tube and fluorescent tube, and the light source is exposed to the outside. The students can easily see the light source directly and the eyes are stimulated, and the use of the grid lamp disc is improved, but it still can not be completely avoided. If a blackboard lamp is used directly with a fluorescent lamp, students and teachers will be affected by their glare and influence the learning efficiency. For example, by adding a reflection mask, students can avoid glare, and teachers will be stimulated by glare.

4) high color temperature is easy to cause visual fatigue. At present, many classroom lighting uses fluorescent tube with high color temperature 6500K. Some studies have shown that high color temperature lighting can focus attention and increase vigilance, but long time high color temperature lighting can induce visual fatigue and psychological fatigue, so the effect of long-term memory is not good, and it may even lead to negative emotions such as psychological anxiety and boredom.

Primary and secondary schools as a place for students to live and study for a long time, healthy light environment plays a positive role in promoting the growth of primary and secondary school students. Accurate lighting design, balanced product design and intelligent LED system design help to improve classroom lighting quality.
