Driving Mode of LED Lamp

The LED drive power converts the power supply to a specific voltage and current to drive the LED light-emitting voltage converter. The input of LED driving power includes high voltage power frequency AC (market power), low voltage DC, high voltage DC, low voltage high frequency AC (such as the output of electronic transformer), etc. The output of LED driving power supply is mostly constant current source which can change voltage with the change of forward voltage drop of LED.


Characteristics of constant flow type:
1. The output current of the constant current drive circuit is constant, but the output DC voltage varies in a certain range with the value of the load resistance. The load resistance value is small, the output voltage is low, the greater the load resistance value, the higher the output voltage.


2. constant current circuit is not afraid of load short circuit, but it is strictly forbidden to load completely open.


3. constant current drive circuit is ideal for driving LED, but the price is relatively high.


4. attention should be paid to the maximum withstand current and voltage used, which limits the use of LED.



Characteristics of voltage stabilizing type:

1. When the parameters of the voltage regulator circuit are determined, the output voltage is fixed, and the output current changes with the increase or decrease of the load.


2. voltage regulation circuit is not afraid of load open circuit, but it is strictly forbidden to load short circuit completely.


3. Drive LED with voltage regulated driving circuit, each string needs to add appropriate resistance to make each LED display brightness average;


4. brightness is affected by voltage changes from rectification.
